The project proposal has the intention of solving the functional problem of the museum exit as well as the one for the entrance. The basic idea comes from the original structure of the basilica complex: the module of the old sacristy from Brunelleschi is exploited to generate a third identical modular volume, i.e. the “mirrored” sacristy. Same tradition, same research of harmonious proportions, same sense of measured design and cleanliness of the form that were common in the Renaissance.
