An old warehouse was demolished and in its place a new building was constructed to produce a coherent urban fabric. The idea was to create an “urban header” within which to place the new residential core in an autonomous and untethered way. For this reason, the façade overlooking the intersection is designed as a plastered backdrop with a large opening that is off the scale, or rather “city-sized.” On the other hand, the façade on via Larga is developed in a more traditional way, echoing the typical proportions of the building type of the adjacent buildings. The new construction includes a main interior volume, recognizable by the different color of the exterior walls detached from the other façades, which represents the residential core of the two new apartments.
