About This Project

The lack of an historic downtown in the city of Calenzano, near Florence, begs for the founding of a new one in an area adjacent to the urban geographical center. The main theme is the measure of the city, expressed as the careful interplay between roads and built structures and through a precise order based on the ancient Roman urban grid as a sign of territorial regulation.
