Podere la Chiusa is part of a rural complex located on the hills of Sesto Fiorentino, on the outskirts of Florence. At the time of the survey, the complex was in a state of decay and neglect and in parallel to the exterior renovation an interior architecture and interior design work was carried out, including custom-made furniture.
The tavern, which features a lowered barrel vault, was enriched with a large custom table made entirely of wood, glass and steel by local artisans, topped with a suspended lamp, also custom made, which consists of a steel beam with an embedded LED strip. In the living room area, which is built around a majestic full-height fireplace, a large interior arch has been plugged and enhanced by the introduction of an oak bookcase. The kitchen has also been studied down to the smallest detail; a large handcrafted square island contrasts with a wooden table that “copies” its size. Once again, the suspended chandelier is a unique piece designed exclusively for the client.
